As a passionate practitioner of both yoga and Pilates for over a decade, I’ve experienced firsthand the transformative benefits these practices bring. Five years ago, I turned that passion into a career, becoming a certified yoga instructor. Along the way, I also discovered a love for reformer Pilates, which led me to train as a teacher in that discipline as well. Seeing the benefits firsthand, I felt there was a real need for a local studio in Plymouth where others could access these practices in a supportive environment. That’s how Reformer Pilates Plymouth came to be—a space where people of all backgrounds and experience levels can find balance, strength, and a sense of community.

Hey Everyone! ​I started practising Reformer Pilates over a year ago now and I have loved every minute of it. My 9-5 is in an office but I wanted a break from this and decided to enrol on a Pilate teacher course. Reformer is a lot of fun but it can also be so helpful for any injuries/aches and just to keep everything moving. I’m looking forward to meeting and teaching you all!

Passionate about all things movement, I have been a professional dancer for the last 10 years cruising around the world and working as a showgirl in Paris. My pilates obsession began when I studied at the Northern Ballet School, it was a foundation I’ve relied on heavily throughout my career to keep me injury free and ensure I’m warm enough to do a cancan! I’m here to help you fall in love with this incredible form of exercise and to ensure you feel strong, aligned and empowered! Let’s get moving :)

Hello! Before having my two boys I was a professional dancer and singer, I’ve fallen In Love with reformer Pilates as it’s taking me back to my college days doing Pilates every morning before ballet, reformer is incredible to build back that strength and I feel I have a new passion. One I can’t wait to get started on this journey with you all!

Hey everyone! I found Pilates a few years ago during a really challenging time—recovering from burnout and navigating my way through disordered eating. I was physically and mentally drained, and what used to work for me—like high-intensity training — just left me feeling more depleted. Reformer and mat Pilates offered something completely different: a way to move that felt kind, supportive, and grounding. It helped me reconnect with my body in a way I hadn’t felt in years, and slowly, I started to feel more balanced and energised. I’ve been drawn to the calm, low-impact approach ever since—and I’m really grateful to now be able to share it with others.

 

With a background in nutrition (BSc Hons) and experience in personal training, my approach is gentle, informed, and nervous-system-aware. Teaching Reformer feels like such a natural extension of how I now choose to live—slow, strong, and kind to myself. I truly believe this style of movement has something to offer everyone, whether you're looking to reconnect with your body, build strength without stress, or simply carve out a little space in your week just for you.

I’ve recently graduated from Bird College in London, where I trained professionally in Dance and Musical theatre.

Throughout my training as a dancer, I developed a strong sense of body awareness and connection to movement.

After graduating, I lost the discipline I had developed and found myself training with no consistency or purpose. This is when I discovered Reformer Pilates - and it changed my outlook to movement again. It became more then just a way to keep fit for me and brought back the sense of purpose and structure I’d been missing. I fell in love with it. 

 

I’m so excited to help others discover that same feeling, both physically and mentally. I’m passionate about creating a supportive, empowering sessions that leave you feeling confident and recharged. I’m thrilled to be apart of the team, can’t wait to share this journey with you all!

Hi, I’m Clídna, a yoga teacher and doctor. I trained in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga in Rishikesh in 2017 and subsequently Yin in 2021. My classes will blend these styles into a creative mindful flow. 

I’m passionate about making yoga an inclusive space to get out of your head and into your body.

Hey guys, I’m Becca…

 

When I started yoga 13 years ago, it was all about the physical - strength, alignment, form. But over time, I discovered the benefits it offered me went much deeper than that. For me yoga isn't about the perfect pose; its about using movement to come into the body, quiet the mind and reconnect. It's a chance to slow down, create space and breath in a world that rarely pauses. I teach yoga with a vision to build a community, where we can move mindfully and with joy always.  I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training in London which included both Vinyasa and Hatha practices and am a Registered Nurse by background.  I love a powerful practice that challenges and takes us to our edge but with lots of modifications and options to ensure everyone is empowered.

I was first introduced to Pilates at a young age while training as a professional dancer. Amidst the intensity of our physical conditioning, Pilates served as a gentle yet powerful complement—enhancing our posture, helping us develop lean and lengthened muscles, and refining the precision of our movements.

During my professional dance career in London, high-intensity performances were a constant demand. After a decade in the industry, I experienced significant burnout—both mentally and physically—which led me to return to my hometown of Plymouth to take time for myself. Now, more than ten years later, I’m still here, embracing a more balanced and healthier lifestyle, with Pilates once again playing a central role in my wellbeing.

I’m passionate about staying active, embracing new challenges, and nurturing both body and mind. For me, wellbeing and connection are essential to living a more abundant life—and Pilates is the foundation that supports it all. Beyond its physical benefits, Pilates leaves me feeling grounded, with a deep sense of coming home to myself.

My name is Christine and I’m so excited to be your Hot Mat Pilates instructor! I searched for years for a movement practice that truly resonated with me, that’s when I finally discovered Pilates and it helped transform my relationship with exercise! What started as a personal journey quickly evolved into a passion for movement and wellness! Pilates has not only strengthened my body but also helped me create a stronger mind-body connection, and now I’m dedicated to helping others experience that same feeling! My classes focus on building core strength, flexibility, and mindfulness, all within a warm, invigorating environment that promotes healing and wellness.
